Delhi Historical Society to Host Bird Exhibit

The Delhi Historical Society (DHS) will host an exhibit of birdhouses at the Cannon House, 47 Main Street, Delhi, on Saturday, Oct. 13 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

Bill Cash of Delhi will share his birdhouses and three lucky attendees will win a free birdhouse that he has generously donated. In addition to the variety of birdhouses that will be displayed, a 100-year-old preserved collection of songbirds belonging to Richard McIntosh of Bovina will also be available for viewing, as will Bob Borow (of Borow’s Taxidermy Studio in Delhi) collection of birds that including pheasant, grouse, doves and ducks.

The next program sponsored by DHS will be a program on the history of the Heart of the Catskills Humane Society on Tuesday, Nov. 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Cannon Free Library.
