MAC Bowlers Roll High Scores in Tourney

KIRKWOOD — The Midstate Athletic Conference (MAC) has released the results from the its championship bowling tournament last Tuesday at Sunset Lane.

On the girls’ side, Bainbridge Guilford had the high scratch game at 836 pins. Hancock followed at 805 and Oxford 804. In the team scratch series, Oxford won with 2,354 pins, Hancock had 2,333 and B-G 2,280.

Hancock’s Brenna Gleim had the high scratch game at 260 and the high scratch series at 639. Second for scratch game was a 206 for Maya Cliffe of B-G, followed with a 202 for Sidney’s Casey Mazzarella, a 195 by Hancock’s Mickayla Norton, a 194 by Aubrey Norton of Hancock, 193 by Destiny Beang of Oxford, a 193 by Courtney Delello of B-G and a 185 by Erin Howard of Oxford.

Second in the scratch series was by Mazzaerella at 546, Howard was third with 523, Jourdan Pinney of Oxford with 519, Delello at 507, Norton and Beang both 493 and Cliffe 477.

In the boys’ action, Sidney swept both scratch game and series with a 1,042 game and a 2,990 series. Greene was second in both, with a 991 scratch game and a 2,599 series, and Hancock was third in both, with a game score of 901 and a series score of 2,569.

Brandyn Scott of Greene had the highest scratch game at 268 pins, followed by Sidney’s Ryan Cole and Mike Mazzarella with 255 apiece, Dakota Simpson of Oxford 241, Ed Fuller of B-G 241, Jakob Cook of Greene 232, Jakob Funnell of Greene 227, Tanner Boice of Sidney 225, Logan Pixely of Greene 216, Porter Crawson of Hancock 214, Thomas Schoonmaker of Hancock 213, Anton Leonard of Hancock 209, and with 200 apiece were Nate Gorshak of Sidney and Brandon Kneale of Unadilla Valley.

In the scratch series, Cole was high at 699 pins, Simpson rolled 671, Mazzarella 657, Boice 625, Fuller 606, Funnell 599, Schoonmaker 574, Leonard 548, Cook 545, Gorshak 533, Crawson 532, Kneale 517, Pixely 499 and Gabe Rynearson of Deposit 495.
