Mental Health is Focus At March Chamber Breakfast in Walton

The Delaware County Chamber of Commerce will hold a first Friday eat & meet on Friday, March 2 from 8:30 to 10 a.m., at Danny’s Restaurant in Walton, where featured speaker Evan Heaney, Population Health Coordinator for the Rural Health Network of South Central New York in Delaware County, will give a presentation on a newly developed and piloted Workplace Wellness Toolkit, designed for employers to better support the health of their workforce.

The mental and emotional health of employees in the workplace affects everyone involved - from CEOs to entry-level workers and their families. Those living with mental health conditions often face uncertainty about how best to communicate their needs. It may prevent them from seeking help from co-workers, friends, and even family. With a majority of the population spending one third of their day working, it can be to everyone’s benefit to ensure a happy and healthy workforce.

The event sponsor is Community Bank, N.A. with branches in Downsville, Walton, Fleischmanns and Delhi.

Cost is $10 per person. To register or for more information visit or call 607-746-2281.
