Delaware Academy Graduation Rate Soars

“I am very pleased with our results as we as a district have continued to increase and grow our graduation rates over the past six years,” he said. “I expect 2018 to yield the same great results as well.”

According to the data, DA has experienced a nine percent graduation increase over the past six years. The New York State graduation rate average for 2017 is 82 percent, which places Delaware Academy 11 percent above the NYS average.

The graduation rate for both the 2011-12 and 2012-13 school years was 84 percent; 2013-14 - 88 percent; 2014-15 - 85 percent and in 2015-16 - 89 percent. For the 2016-17 school year, the graduation rate soared to 93 percent.

“Congratulations to our students, staff, and community,” said Thomson. “Our staff and students deserve all the credit for their continued hard work and dedication. I am very proud of our team and all of our accomplishments.”
