Treadwell Woman Arrested for Felony Aggravated DWI

Lora B. Leitenberger Lora B. Leitenberger WALTON - A Treadwell woman was arrested for felony aggravated driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit.

On Jan. 7 at about 4:43 p.m., New York State Police at Sidney arrested Lora B. Leitenberger, age 57, of Treadwell, for the felony of aggravated driving while intoxicated with a B.A.C. result of .27 percent.

This arrest occurred after troopers responded to check the welfare of a vehicle that just stopped in a driveway on Treadwell Road in the town of Walton. An investigation determined that the driver, Leitenberger, was driving while highly intoxicated, when she pulled into a drive and passed out behind the steering wheel. This DWI arrest was raised to a felony because she has a prior conviction for DWI within the last 10 years.

Leitenberger was arraigned in the town of Walton court and was remanded to the Delaware County jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. She will return to the town of Walton Court on Jan. 15 to answer the charges.
