Thank goodness temperatures are going to warm up to the 30s this week. The one good thing about all this cold weather is that the ice skating rink at Sheldon Park is open for skating everyday from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. There are lights on the rink so you can enjoy skating at night.

Volunteer of the week is Laura Stewart, president of the Delhi Women and Men’s Club. Laura is also on the board for the Greater Delhi Area Chamber of Commerce and a member of the Catskill Ladies Association to Support and Inspire. Laura has a long career of volunteering for the community and we are lucky that she lives here. Thanks to Laura for all she does for the community. You can meet her at the next meeting of the DWMC. The Delhi Women & Men’s Club will hold its January monthly meeting at the Immanuel Lutheran Church, 565 Andes Road from at 5:30 - 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16. The meeting will include a dinner catered by Sarky’s and feature a presentation by Christi Mack on nutrition and fitness. Dinner is $18. Community open gym is back at Delaware Academy MS/HS. Every Sunday from January through March, the gym will be open from 1-4 p.m. Come play, practice and hang out with friends on Sunday, Jan. 14. At the request of Superintendent Thomson, children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Village Board Meeting holds their meeting on Monday, Jan. 15 at 6 p.m. at the Village Hall on 9 Court Street.

The meeting is open to all people living with Hepatitis C or B and family or friends that are the personal support of people living HCV or HBV. The Village Quilters meet at the United Ministry Church basement every second and fourth Thursday. Join them Thursday, Jan. 11 at 9:30 a.m. to do any kind of quilting or craft that interests you.
