If anyone is interested in being on the Kellogg Franklin Trust board, contact Dave Tuthill for instructions and exceptions. There will be an election to replace Deborah Tuthill on the board on Nov. 14 at the Kellogg Educational & Community Center. Requirements are a nominating petition with 25 signatures from town of Franklin residents, being an attendee of the Kellogg School or Kellogg Elementary School or being a resident of the town of Franklin/ Treadwell.

Treadwell United Methodist Church annual turkey dinner will be Oct. 7 from 4-7 with a traditional menu of turkey, stuffing, potatoes, cabbage salad, beverage, bread, pie, cranberry sauce and squash for $9. Arrive early. Don’t miss this church fundraiser. As always, thank you ahead of time, for the great amount of preparation that goes along with thus event. Donations of food, time, shopping and food preparation help make this a community event.

October events at the Kellogg Educational & Community Center: Friday, Oct. 13, Wizard of Oz at 6:30; Saturday, Oct. 14, Treadwell Community Cafe, 10- 3; Saturday, Oct. 22, Treadwell Community Cafe 10-3; Saturday, Oct. 28, Hotel Transylvania; movie admission is free as is the organic popcorn.

Treadwell Community Improvement Club will meet at Callie Triarsi’s for the next meeting Wednesday, Oct. 11 - a change in day of the week. Making cards with Linda Fulghum, the demonstrator for the evening. To discuss: Headstart Christmas boxes, community Christmas gift bags and annual cookie exchange.
