One Driver Arrested Following Crash on Bear Spring Mountain

WALTON - Delaware County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident with personal injury on state Highway 206 in the Town of Walton on Jan. 16. An investigation at the scene revealed that Tenzin Pelmo, 48, Ithaca, was driving westbound when her car was rear-ended by a vehicle being driven in the same direction by Karyl A. Rose, 37, Bainbridge. Both drivers were transported to Delaware Valley Hospital for treatment of their injuries.

Upon completing their investigation of the accident and an evaluation of Rose by a New York State Police Drug Recognition Expert, deputies arrested and charged Rose with driving while ability impaired by drugs and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a class E felony offense, along with various traffic infractions.
