Thank you to Christian Walter, Dave Tuthill, Tom and Nancy Barnes, Chris and Kathy Carey and Jim Carey who helped move the Kellogg Educational and Community Center to a different part of the Kellogg Building. Bookcases, probably 50 boxes and totes, furniture and Legos were moved over a week’s time. It was a huge undertaking. The Center will be looking for help in March to put it all back together - if you can, contact Deb Tuthill in March.

Found on Ebay last month, an ink blotter from the Busy Store, owned by Carson Mitchell whose daughter was Edith Preston. The store was located in the building that was also the Treat Shop and Paul Delameter’s workshop on Main Street. Amazing how this piece of paper was found after almost 100 years.

The Treadwell Fire and Emergency Squad has had a busy 2017 with at least ten calls. Thank you to the volunteers who give their time.

I went to Buffalo to help a friend who had been hospitalized take down her Christmas decorations and I broke my leg in two places. Great, right? Thanks to Tom and Nancy Barnes who helped my hubby drive and get me. I then realized that there is “No Place Like Home” when you are injured. Thank you to friends, neighbors and church families who have assisted us during my recuperation of what will be 12 weeks of non-weight bearing inactivity.

With the recent nice break in the winter weather, there has been a flurry of activity for the sap guys who got out and put out new lines and tanks. Spring is coming soon.
