Has the Presidential Election Been Rigged By the Media?

Beth McGuire, Hobart If the media were responsible for rigging the election it would be in favor of the Trump campaign. His campaign has received more than $2 billion in free airtime. There are only about six major media companies. They are all owned and operated by extremely conservative men. MSNBC is the only news network that even pretends to have a liberal bias. Over the weekend, Donald Trump renewed his criticism of the national media, arguing that media bias is rigging the election in favor of Hillary Clinton. After Saturday Night Live aired on Oct. 15 - complete with criticism of both Trump and Clinton - Trump took to the social media site, Twitter, to protest what he saw as a biased representation of himself.

One of Trump’s tweets sums up his complaints about the media: “This election is being rigged by the media pushing false and unsubstantiated charges, and outright lies, in order to elect Crooked Hillary!”

Sandra Davis, Deposit Yes, I do feel that the election is being rigged because the media has been off track for a long time and haven’t been reporting everything. We’re not getting the news to make an educated decision. The media has been falsely reporting many things and then not reporting when the truth comes out.
