More than 200 freshman, transfer and international students have been awarded merit scholarships to attend SUNY Oneonta this fall. The following area students received O’Connor Foundation scholarships:

Madison Banks of Sidney, received a $1,500 scholarship. Banks, a graduate of Gilbertsville Mt. Upton Central School, plans to major in adolescence education: English.

Stephanie Doerr of Hancock, received a $1,500 scholarship. Doerr, a graduate of Hancock Central School, plans to major in psychology.

Gannon Frisbee of Downsville received a $1,500 scholarship. Frisbee, a graduate of Downsville Central School, plans to major in physics.

Allison Hannigan of Delhi received a $1,500 scholarship. Hannigan, a graduate of Delaware Academy Central School, plans to major in meteorology.

Brandon Hitchcock of Sidney received a $1,500 scholarship. Hitchcock, a graduate of Sidney High School, plans to major in biochemistry.

Emily Johnston of Sidney received a $1,500 scholarship. Johnston, a graduate of Sidney High School, plans to major in child and family studies. Johnston transferred to SUNY Oneonta from SUNY Cobleskill.

Jade Meehan of Halcottsville received a $1,500 scholarship. Meehan, a graduate of Roxbury Central School, plans to major in physics.

Vanessa Oravetz of Margaretville received a $1,500 scholarship. Oravetz, a graduate of Margaretville Central School, plans to major in fashion and textiles.

Chrystal Savage of Delhi received a $1,500 scholarship. Savage, a graduate of Delaware Academy Central School, plans to major in fashion and textiles.

Onilee Wilson of Sidney received a $1,500 scholarship. Wilson, a graduate of Unatego Jr.- Sr. High School, plans to major in fashion and textiles.
