Otego Man Arrested After Threatening Man With Axe

James Jordan James Jordan OTEGO - James M. Jordan, 62, Otego, was charged Aug. 2 with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief, both misdemeanors. The New York State Police of Sidney responded to a report of a fight in the town of Otego. An investigation determined Jordan was in a physical dispute with another man while in his garage, where he grabbed an axe and threatened the other man with it and smashing the taillight on the man’s Volkswagon Jetta. He left the scene but was located nearby and arrested. Jordan was arraigned in the town of Otego court and was released without bail. He is to answer for the charges in the town of Otego on Aug. 25.
