Area Musicians Join Pete Seeger in Saturday 'Family Concert for Sandy Relie

BEARSVILLE — The drive to help victims of “Superstorm Sandy” continues on Saturday, Dec. 22, with a benefit concert at the Bearsville Theater at noon. Pete Seeger and the Rivertown Kids will be joined by Tom Chapin, Uncle Rock, Kim and Reggie Harris, Story Laurie and Ira McIntosh, Key Wilde and Mr. Clarke, Grenadilla, Ratboy Jr., Professor Louie and the Crowmatix, the Saints of Swing, Magpie, Dan Zanes, Dar Williams and David Bernz, Gustafer Yellowgold, Guy Davis and Dog on Fleas.

There will be yuletide sing-alongs, face painting, holiday snacks and crafts, and there will be a family admission rate. The “Children’s Music Compilation” will be released on the same day, but the download can be pre-ordered for those wanting it as a Christmas gift.

Funds may be donated through the MARK Project to the “Neighbor to Neighbor Fund for Hurricane Sandy Relief.”
