Welcome to The Walton Reporter Online

***UPDATE: We have made it easier for current newspaper subscribers to activate web subscriptions. Beginning this week, your mailing label will contain an account number. To activate your subscription, go to the black button at the upper right corner of the page, click it and enter the last name, ZIP code and account number. ***

We know we're late getting to the party, but The Walton Reporter is online and we're excited about it. Our newspaper has seen a lot of technological changes in its 130 years of existence and this is the latest. We'll continue to print a paper edition, of course, and we hope our subscribers will enjoy receiving Delaware County's news in the way they prefer.

The website will complement the paper. Don't look for daily reporting here, though we will certainly post breaking news in the event of emergencies or major events. Major updates of the site will occur on Wednesday mornings, to coincide with the publication of the paper. Of course, the website offers things the paper can't, such as all of our pictures in color and the option for readers to comment on stories. We're looking forward to that.

Most of the website contains premium content, available only to subscribers. Current subscribers to the newspaper can activate a free web subscription by entering name and address information, along with a valid email address, in the subscription area. Users will be prompted to create a user name and password. Name and address information must match the information on the mailing label of a subscriber’s newspaper. New subscribers may purchase a web-only or web and paper subscription online.

We have worked hard to create a website that looks good and is easy to use. We'll roll out more features as we go along and we look forward to hearing what you enjoy and what you would like to see here.
